What this site collects
This site is a website about a counselling psychologist and her book. It is not a patient portal, and it is not a secure channel for anything clinical.
If you use the contact form or join the mailing list, we hold your name, your email address, and whatever you choose to write to us.
Please do not send clinical details
Email, WhatsApp, and web forms are not secure. Please do not send details of your health, your symptoms, your diagnosis, or anything you would only say in a session. A phone call is a much better first step, and it is far more private.
What we do with it
- Enquiries are answered by Sohini or her practice.
- Mailing-list addresses receive occasional emails about writing, podcast episodes, and events. Nothing else.
- Nothing is sold, shared, or passed to advertisers.
How long it is kept
Enquiries are kept only as long as needed to respond and any resulting relationship. Mailing-list entries can be removed at any time by asking to be removed.
Cookies and analytics
Any analytics added before launch will be limited to measuring how the site is used. No advertising trackers, no cross-site profiling.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, these rights belong to you.
